We would like to inform you about OA's decision to discontinue its Athens-Alexandria v.v. scheduled services, as from July 19th, 2010.
Despite the company's best efforts, not to reach this unfortunate outcome, the decision was necessitated by the adverse market conditions on the route and the need to further optimize OA's operational and financial performance given the challenges that lied ahead as Greek businesses come to terms with the growing difficulties in the domestic economic environment.
However, the Egyptian market remains one of significant strategic importance for Olympic Air and the company is committed to continue evaluating the potential re-activation of the route in the foreseeable future.
