New route Thessaloniki-Tirana from Olympic Air
Olympic Air further enhances its flights between Northern Greece and the Balkan capitals, linking the capital of Albania, Tirana, to and from airport "Macedonia" in Thessaloniki.
The route that connects the two cities will take place twice a week (Monday and Friday). Flights will begin on December 2nd 2011 and will be carried by Bombardier Q400 with 78 seats aircraft. This service will enable passengers to choose their travel through an expanded range of prices both in Premium Economy and Economy class.
On a weekly basis, thousands of people are traveling by road from northern Greece to Albania and vice versa. By this route the Olympic Air offers an alternative, faster and very cost effective solution for the public that travels between the two countries. Given that the capital area covered by the route Athens - Tirana, adding the route Thessaloniki - Tirana is formed to cover the demand between Northern Greece and the neighboring Balkan country.
Olympic Air flies to 73 destinations, of which 32 in Greece and 41 abroad (directly or through strategic partnerships). From the airport "Macedonia" Olympic Air flies to five destinations: Athens, Mytilene, Rhodes, Heraklion and Chania. Also during the summer months run from Thessaloniki Olympic Air's flights to Skiathos, Mykonos and Santorini.
