The International Airport of Heraklion “Nikos Kazantzakis” is the largest airport in Crete. It is situated 5 km east of Heraklion. It is connected daily to Athens by Olympic Air flights. You can travel to and from the airport by private car, taxi (approx. 10 euro) or by bus (2 euro), while the airport also offers a car rental service.
