MAJESTIC MYTILENE

Built on seven hills, Mytilene is an island metropolis with an active cultural and commercial life, being home –among other institutions- to the Aegean University, as well as some of Greece’s most important museums. Walking the city’s cobblestoned streets, towards the Sourada neighbourhood, you will come across some of the country’s best preserved turn-of-the-20th-century manor architecture. Cobbled Ermou street is the city’s largest commercial thoroughfare, while even more impressive neoclassical buildings are to be found along the waterfront.
