Along the 60 km of the beautiful coastline of the regional unit of Preveza, you can discover a plethora of stunning beaches, in all shades of blue and with a view over the Ionian Sea. Near the town is the busy Kyani Akti, with its shallow waters and shade from the tall eucalyptus trees, making it ideal for families. The emerald, crystal-clear waters at Alonaki and the dense pine tree forest create the image of an impressive natural pool. You must visit Monolithi, the largest sandy beach in Europe that runs alongside a wonderful protected forest, its deep waters giving the feeling of the ocean. The next stops are: Kanali, with its many beach bars; Kastrosykia for canoeing and paragliding; and quiet Artolithia for a secluded, wonderful landscape of sheer rock formations. Also impressive are the beaches of Lygia and Vrachos-Loutsa, with the turquoise waters and fine sands, leading to the magical little bays of Alonaki Fanariou, Ormos tou Odyssea (Kerentza) and Skala.
In the region of Parga, drop anchor at Lichnos for a swim and explore the sea caves, at cosmopolitan Valto, with a view of the back of the castle and plenty of opportunities for water sports, and at Ai-Yiannakis and the magical Sarakiniko gulf. If you love to dive, then the underwater world around the islets of Panagia and Agios Nikolaos will reveal the beauties of the depths of the sea to you in all their glory.
