Travelling to Calgary

Capital of the province of Alberta and third-largest city in Canada, Calgary became known as an international metropolis thanks to the Winter Olympics of 1988. Just a stone’s throw from the Rocky Mountains, this land of the maple tree with its native populations welcomed the railways and the pioneers, lived through the Gold Rush in the mines and saw its luck change thanks to a chance oil discovery in 1911.

With rapid growth, thanks to the oil drilling in the region, Calgary is a major cultural and sporting centre of Canada, both for winter sports and for outdoor activities. Put on a white cowboy hat – the symbol of Calgary – and let your adrenaline flow in a city that has almost made rodeo an Olympic sport.

Book your flight to Calgary with Olympic Air and come to experience all the mythology of the Wild West and the westerns in the heart of the vast land of Canada.
