Travelling to Montreal
A charming mixture of French culture and cosmopolitan atmosphere set to the backdrop of the virgin landscapes of the Province of Quebec, Canada’s second-largest city has a European aura in the heart of North America. The Canadian metropolis is in reality an island on the navigable Saint Lawrence River on its way towards the Atlantic.
With a charming architectural style, beautiful roads, friendly neighbourhoods, wonderful monuments and a vibrant cultural life, Montreal is overflowing with personality.
In amongst the downtown skyscrapers stands Mount Royal, an urban oasis of green with the impressive dome on the church of Saint Joseph’s Oratory, dominating the city’s skyline. Stroll through the cobbled streets of Vieux Montreal with the retro aroma of other eras as far as the promenade along the beautifully adapted docks in the old port. Spend hours sauntering around on a bicycle or on snow-shoes and feel as though you are in Paris when in the Latin Quarter of Montreal. Walk around the fashionable districts of Plateau and Mile End.
Find the best deals on flights to Montreal at the Olympic Air site and discover the perpetual charm of the largest Francophone city in the world outside of France.
